Before all of this, getting my knives sharpened used to be a hassle. Other knife sharpeners left me feeling dissatisfied with quality, pricing, lack of communication, or a slick edge that could not cut through a tomato or pepper without slipping. That motivated me to want to do it better for the right price.
I set out to learn how to do it myself. Through a ton of research in videos and experimentation with different techniques I was able to gain a skill that can help others as well. I experimented with different tools and settled on using whetstones, and a low-speed belt sander. This allows me to get a fast and efficient edge that limits material removal from the blade. Unlike the pull through sharpeners that everyone uses that remove a ton of material. Do not use those just bring them to me.
Knives that are taken care of and treated well will take care of you and treat you well. So do not throw them away when they get dull or a little bit of rust on them. Bring them by and I will get it taken care of and leave you with a knife you will be very happy to use again.
